How does Night Lightning Technology Works?
Researchers have tested a fantastic headlight system using mapping technology and GPS to determine the direction of a vehicle’s headlights. The system can detect people hidden in the dark. For example, the driver will assess the situation in advance if a cyclist comes into headlight range. In the absence of GPS information, the technology employs a forward-facing video camera mounted at the rear-view mirror base to detect lane markings and predict the road’s curvature.
The system can illuminate two hazards: a spotted stripe on the road surface and an object ahead with a bright light. Two LED lamps illuminate the systems by their sides.
